If you think that standing up for what a person believes is right with a little conviction is a "borberline nutcase," then all the candidates and anyone who has a political belief and stands firm on the issue is also one.

The interviewer doesn't understand what Mitt has told him time and time again. Mitt is not going to let his official church doctrine dictate how he governs as president.

There is nothing in your reply that justifies your self described rant (things insane people do) and your labeling the exchange between the rude, inconsiderate and obnoxious interviewer and the overly respectful and patient Romney as a "borderline nut case." Help me understand what in that exchange makes him a "borderline nut case" if you can. It's this sort of excessive abusive rhetoric that poisons honest political debate nowadays.

The interviewer is quite skilled at interupting and has little respect for the are of understanding. It is evident that the effort was not to understand Mitt, but to use interuption as a tool to prevent clearity on the issues that were brought up. The Mormons that I know well are very dedicated to family and to Christian principles. This includes a pro-life attitude. However, I respect the fact they do not judge others on the matter, just by example seem to try and persuade others to see why pro-life is a better choice. After-all, they do sent missionaries who are quite polite door to door, but never seem to be disrepectful. This interviewer is a contension seeker, not a seeker of understanding and enlightenment.

My rant has NOTHING to do with Mitt Romney's religion. Mormon, Muslim, Christian etc etc... Doesn't matter. Religion isn't a factor when I'm deciding who to vote for.

Mitt Romney is a patholigical position changer and clearly doesn't appreciate getting called on it. This video exposed Romney for who he really is. He plays Mr. Right when the cameras and mics are rolling but when they go off, he turns into Bill Pullman in "Mr. Wrong". It looked like he was about to strap Mickelson to the hood of his car and go speeding off to Utah in a rage or something.

If Mitt Romney is a "borderline nut case" then count me in! What an idiot that interviewer is. Rude, constantly interrupting, doggedly pusuing his position even though Romney gave a very rational explanation as if he was deaf and hadn't heard what Romney was saying. Romney is running for President of the US and not the President of the Church of Latter Day Saints. Romney clearly stated, despite the constant and ill-mannered interruptions, that his religions beliefs have nothing to do with his secular positions and secular obligations as a Governor. As Governor he obeyed the law of the land which 'effectively' made him pro-choice.
If his Church's scriptures about Jerusalem and Missouri is what the poster was referring to when he labeled Romney a "nut case" then where would we draw the line. I'm sure there are many such absurd things in the Old and New Testaments. The that would make all Christains and Jews also "borderline nut cases".
Heaven help us if this is the level of debate we have to look forward to. The poster is as much an idiot as the interviewer.
